Go to your LHS, or track, someone is bound to have a lathe, and can tell you about it. Good stock motors are not more than 40 dollars(so that they are legal for ROAR, and NORCCA) and good hand wound mods are about 60-75. I like the Aurora mods, and the P2K seems to still be the best stocker out there...

ooops, i see you ? was not at all about motors... there are modified and stock lathes, stock lathes are pretty much non-existant, now that rebuildable stocks have taken over, like i said, ask someone at your LHS, or track is bound to have one.

ya splat hook yourself up wit a mod motor and then just go happy wit a lathe, a lathe is a tool for tunin' your mod motor, you can tweak the commutators on the armature, but I wouldn't mess wit it just bring it in and larry wud do it for ya, cheaply. i think a half-way decent lathe will run ya bout' hundred bucks
