I'm looking to buy some new batteries for my trucks and cars, and I'm wondering if I should get another set of NIMH 3000 batteries. I just sold some SMC 3000's and they were fantastic, but at $62.50 each, were a little expensive.
Should I get some 2400 or 2700 NICADs instead? I liked the power and endurance of the NIMHs but they're just a little too much money to keep buying.
I don't race right now, and the batteries will only be for fun.
Thanks.
You'll get more "power" with the NiCd batteries. If you already had them, why did you sell them? That doesnt make sense...
Get some good 2400's. Integy makes great ones for the price. What are 2700 NiCd's? I never heard of them...

Like JP said, they are great for the price, that is about it, they are matched, but still not top of the line; they are better than what you would find out of say, a Duratrax 2400 pack, or a Dynamite 2400, but they are not like the high quality trinity ones. Do not go by the #'s they give you, they are not entirely true, check them out here: INTEGY (http://www.integy.com)

i don't know about that statement that nicads are "stronger"....
i've been running some B & T stock metal 3000's that have more punch than any 2000 or 2400's i've ever seen... and they seem to hold their punch for longer as well.... (but they do cost more)
peace out... :)
