Will my esc work with my stampede motor?

I just received an electric stampede for my birthday. I also got a duratrax blast esc, and I was wondering if the blast could handle the stampede's 20 turn stinger motor?

From what I've read, most manufacturers are conservative with their ESC limits so it more then likely will.

HauntedMyst you are correct so it might work just don't gear it high because then if you gear to high you WILL kill the blast

Does anyone know if I need anything special to mount my esc in my epede, or can i just use double sided tape?

Double sided tape usually works real well, but if you get any sand or dirt betweeen the bottom of the chassis and the tape it will loose contact to chassis and its stickyness.
