which do you feel is better and why? I am looking to buy one of these shortly for a T3 for racing. I know, I know, I should get a forwards only, but I gotta have reverse for practicing and for times off the track. I just race at my local track and it is friendly, not cutthroat, so I am not obsessed with resistance of reversable ESC's.
Anyways, I cannot decide which is better. AND, I noticed that people with mod motors, screaming down the straits, have AWESOME breaks, makes my current rooster smart breaking look pathetic. This is drag breaking right? Can either super rooster or the LRP be adjusted to do it, and if so, how?? Does this type of breaking cause more heat on the batt and ESC, thx.

I have the super rooster. I would not recommend it for racing. It is too big and heavy. The LRP looks good, but I have no experience with it. If I was going to run a stock or mild motor, and had to have reverse, then I would save $30 and buy the Futaba MC330CR. I have one of those as well, and it is a fine controller.
As far as I can tell, none of the above listed controllers have a drag brake option. I have a Tekin g-10, and it has a drag brake and I do use it and I like it, but it has no reverse.

I would go with the LRP. it is a good ESC and LRP makes great products. If your not going to race or if u do race reverse is good for practice and the additional reverse switch off helps since you cant use reverse in race.

I have to disagree. I have last years top of the line LRP reverse and its busted for no apparent reason. All 3 of my Novaks work and work very well.

Anyone know which of the two has better brakes? Also, I have a rooster in the T3 right now, and it is a tight fit, so if the super rooster is bigger, it won't fit nice and neat. I only run mild mods right now, but hope to try my hand at some low turns soon, and don't feel like buying an ESC now, then have to buy another when I decide to go low turn. Unfortunately, reverse is a must. I would love to get a race ESC, but too much time practicing and bashing, to not have reverse.
