These are my first ever on-road cars and I am buying them used so I have a few questions:

1. Can I change my 10L3O into a road racer (non-oval) or into a TC?
2. If so how?
3. How old is the LS?
4. Is the LS an oval or TC or what?
5. Where can I find info on the LS?
6. Any info on either of these cars would be helpful.
7. Do these cars use 190mm or 200mm bodies?

I have checked the AE site for the LS with no luck except to order the manual.
The more details you can provide the better.

RCCA admin guys, any help you can provide would be more than welcome. Also, what issues covered these vehicles and are they (mag issues that is) still available?

Thanks,
AMMOACE

You can run the L3o on road, it has the normal set up batteries, on the left side, and it is a narrow chassis. If your looking to run 6 cells it may be a problem as there are only 2 slots on the right side of the chassis. Just set the car up balanced before you attatch your radio gear. You won't be able to make it into a TC3.

If I remember right the RC10LS is a wide chassis that IS made to run on road. It will use a wide 10th body the L3o uses a narrow one.

cc488,
Thanks for the info. It sounds like I am going to have to learn how to make my own battery packs. I have never seen pre-built 4 cells before. The Body thing was really bugging me. The AE site is good but doesn't have everything you might want to know. Any suggestions on tires?
Thanks,
AMMOACE

For asphalt, try blue fronts, green rears.

Or for more money & longer life, pink fronts & purple rears.

These are my newest cars. I didn't paint the bodies, the person I bought them from did.

If I were you I'd run the wide car on-road, save the oval car for oval racing. The wide car can still be very competitive, even if its old.

I was just yesterday looking at the AE site, and saw some of the questions you may have were answered. Look to their page, then click on the 10L3o button under oval, then under set-up help down the page....you'll get to the questions section, they give parts needed to update, etc. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
