It looks to me like it's going to be a great car. I've never seen one up close or anything though. They are a little pricey in my opinion. Also I don't know if your track will have a ton of parts and stuff. Ask your LHS and wherever you race if they are going to have parts. If they aren't -- it might be a long road ahead. I have a Factory Team TC3 myself -- very fast car! I really like it myself, and parts are easy to find. I think that the X-ray would be a good purchase if you are able to get parts easy.

The car looks like it can hold its own, but bad part support. Also has'nt been proven to be competitve. The factoy might say so but till you see it in the winners circle you wont know. If you want an exotic race car go for it, but i thinl i will stick with american made cars.

I don't think it's fair to assume there will be "bad parts support" when the car isn't available yet. No, I don't think it will enjoy the type of parts support like the TC3 or RS4, but I'll reserve judgement until the car actually gets here. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I have seen the X-Ray up close as one of the guys down at the local track just got one to race at Nats. It's a VERY nice car IMHO with a very elegant design. I think it is similar in concept to my Ofna OB4 but that is kind of sinful as the X-Ray is MUCH nicer. I didn't ask Chris how it was to drive but he didn't say anything but good things about it. It has a lot of aluminium parts but they are designed in such a way that the car is still light. All in all I would say the car is very nice, just be sure you have a place to get parts otherwise you'll be in the same boat I am, buying complete cars just for the parts.
I ordered it today and i hadnt heard nothing but good things about it eiher.I'm hping it is going to be a great car. I also went ahead an ordered all the options I wanted also.I'm also hoping to get the hudy package with it.I'm looking real forward to getting it but I go to dish out the money for it also.Thats the part I hate. But the lhs owner gave me sme brochures on it and so I think I'm really gonna like it.i'm excited cause I'll have my lathe and my brush factory the same day.

The last I heard was the Hudy parts would only be offered on kits ordered before the end of January. Expected delivery was the the end of Feb, and the first shipment is sitting in customs and will be shipped when cleared.

Everything Serpent makes is TOP NOTCH!
I thought the Hudy set-up system was available on the 1st X number sold....I may be wrong.
The deal, car kit with Hudy set-up system is THE DEAL of 2001, so far.

Originally it was the first run of kits that got the hudy stuff, but that was changed and I got my order in before the end of Jan as that was the 'new' advertised cutoff for the setup stuff. It is possible that they change their mind again to allow for more. Its a great deal if you can get the Hudy parts with your kit, that's part of the reason I purchased one.
