Anyone heard any news on the Emaxx? I have heard rumors about Traxxas doing an update to follow suit with th rest of their products. I know they have not filled any new orders for them in at least 3 months.

I havent heard anything but it would be nice to get an update. I would like to see more of a Revo type suspension added to the E-Maxx. That would be sweet!!!! :D

I have not heard anything, but it would be cool if they do. Revo style suspension would be too cool.

What do you mean haven't filled orders?? Are they prepping the factory for the new E-maxx, or what? I kind-of hope they keep the original E-maxx and introduce the new maxx.

vader, do you mean something like a b-maxx? (buggy maxx) :D That sounds cool. Or do you mean keep the original e-maxx in production with the new e-maxx?

I'd like to see a E-Revo, but Traxxas is very tight lipped about their new stuff so if they are building something new we probably wont know till they release it.....

I mean like what they did with the rustler and stampede. Same applies to the T-maxx and revo. keep the tried and trued E-maxx, and introduce the hopped-up and pimped maxx in it's place. :D

The below info is from one of the cool mods on the Traxxas forums, and it made me pretty jacked for next year! I just hate waiting though!

If you want to see an E-Revo in production, KEEP ASKING FOR IT!!!

I expect we'll see a new release in the first quarter of 2007. What that release will be is already determined I'm sure. It would have to be in the late stages of R&D by now. I wouldn't be surprised if that item happened to be an E-Revo either. I've expected an E-Revo for a couple of years, and now suspect one may be released very soon. I won't go into exactly why I give this possibility some strong credibility at the moment though.

Regardless of what Traxxas has planned, it never hurts to let them know what youd like to see next!

An E-Revo would be pretty slick. Even slicker if they shipped with a mamba monster maxx... assuming those are ever actually released :)
It is about time to upgrade the e-maxx though. There's not much wrong with it, but it never can hurt, especially since they already have the bulkheads, shocks, tires, and driveshafts laying around.

A new E-maxx i doubt will be out for a while. It has NO competition. There are pretty much no other 4WD Electric Trucks out there. A electric revo would be sweet though

Cheers

yeah, they have the e-savage, e-zilla, tamiya has some, there is a lot of them.

The E-savage has a long way to go to become on-par with the e-maxx. HPI messed-up by not using there existing platform to make the E-savage, so alof of hop-ups don't fit, but 80% of the hop-ups for the T-maxx fit the E-maxx. As for the others, word just hasen't spread far enough. :)

An E-Revo would be awesome. I've seen a couple custom built ones and kits to convert it over so obviously the interest is out there. I'd also like to see Traxxas maybe build a solid axle electric crawler type truck. Or both...

An E-Revo would be cool, but I kind of think, and hope, that Traxxas will skip it and leave it to the aftermarket realizing that most people who will really pay for an E-Revo would prefer the Gorillamaxx conversion. I kind of like the crawler idea, or maybe they are working on a mini. Whatever it is they are taking their time.

I think we will see a production based e-revo in the spring of 2007. No way will Traxxas make a crawler. Crawlers are cool, and a lot more people are getting into them, but there still ins't enough draw that they could make one, and have it be profitable. You have to keep the p word in mind. They are a huge, multi-national corporation, that will not make anything that doesn't make money. They won't do what Sony says they are doing with the PS3. They say they lose money on each unit, because they make it up in games. I'm sorry, but I'm in business myself, and I am in it for one reason only, because I love it. Yeah right, more like it pays! I could easily see a mini long before a crawler would happen. Just my opinion though. GO E-REVO!

Plus, the Gorillamaxx set up from ground up would run you easily over $1,000. The Revo 3.3 is less than $500! I want an electric Revo too, and I considered the Gorillamaxx, but that is way too much to dump on a rig. Again, my opinion.
