cells?

i just read oysters post a few minutes ago when i just got done running my new sanyo 2000s. a few hours later i discharged them and then charged them when i heard a slight *hiss* sorta like a hole in a bike inner tube!
so im guessing its trash now?
can i replace the one?

That's what it sounds like alright! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/frown.gif What's up with our batteries? Do you see anything abnormal with the ends of the cell? Or is it wrapped up and unseen?

I don't think my Radio Shack Special battery could take 4.5 amp charges, then modified motor discharges. Oh well, lose 12 bucks, gain experience. Radio Shack Sub C's bad.

no- ive never seen (heard) this before. ive had many batteries but this was a brand new (50) down the drain!
i didnt even come close to overcharging either!!!!

no shrink bubbling/wire discoloration either!!!!!- batteries didnt even get a chance to get warm

My messed up pack LOOKS ok too. But after hearing what it did, I don't think it's worth much. I'll ask my battery expert when I see him next and see what's up.

But I think I'll be singing Amazing Grace to this pack. I don't really sing to batteries.. that'd be silly. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
