I know I have seen the color changing paint but not sure who makes it or if it is worth using. Has anyone used this with any luck or should I just stick with standard color?
thanks

spazstix, alclad, and parma makes it. It's all very easy to use. Make sure you prep the body well, get you some spazstix preprep spray and lightly spray the lexan with it. Spray your color change, then back with black acrylic.

Personally, I'm a complete freak for flips ;). Especially Faskolor Maple and Scarabeus. I've found that by laying down a thin coat of translucent paint (usually blue) before the flip makes for some unusual and often striking colors. Here are a few links to Faskolor flips:

I hope the links work..most of all, I hope they'll be of some help to you!
Best of luck

Faskolor also makes "Faschange" red, purple, and blue, which are generally thought of as "Pearls". These can be laid in a thin layer over most colors, to change the hue of light reflected. You can easily see the hue change from the red 'flames' on the hood to purple, with blue on top of the body -all laid over a white back-. ;)

Custom Colour also do 2 colour change paints. The colours are Saphire and jade, both of which look very nice once applied to your shells. The Jade goes through green, purple to blue and the saphire goes from blue to purple but both depend on which colour you use to back them. Like people have probably already said....The best results come from backing with dark colours and it also depends on how much of the tin you put on as a base coat. The more you use the more the base Jade or Saphire stands out. If you only apply a couple of coats the effect is more subtle and pleasing to the eye in my personal view. Get used to painting the shells normal colours first though as the flick paint is generally more expensive than the normal paints. Also, if you make a mess applying the flick paints, your whole shell is ruined unless you have the proper fluids to strip it all back to clear again. Hope this has helped.VERY NICE NISSAN BY THE WAY!!!!!!
