I am an old nitro guy. Planes, cars, trucks. Back in the hobby again, and now I want an electric too. I have placed my order for an E-Maxx http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

But I need to learn before it gets here. Such things as motor break-in. Is it necessary? What kind of maintainence do they need? What precautions should I know so I don't ruin something by being brain dead http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/wink.gif

What type of batteries to use? What type of connectors, etc? That sort of thing.

If there is a FAQ you can send me to I would be most appreciative. Thanks!

Hey I would suggest the maxx paxx....
-and as for motor maintence... After every few runs pull them out and give them a shot of motor cleaner... then re-oil the bushings... But hey If U can handle nitro U will have no problem with Electric.

I wouldnt worry about breaking in the motors they should be fine.... and also Just leave the connectors alone unless you switch to some more powerful motors.. then I would switch to the deans 2 pin ultra plugs.

You dont even have to clean the motors with motor spray...it is recommended but i had a traxxas motor in my car and the performance never studdered...unlike those damnaged(hehe) racing motors

Go there, I found it most informative even though I've been into Electric racing for 5 years.
