I have heard a bunch stories of people buying a tc3 and some of the parts like shock bodys and ball thingys didn't have threads on them.
Is this a common problem? If I bought a car would I have to worry about not having threads on some of the parts?

Not all kits come with the threaded shock bodies. It's not an error, just the level of the kit you buy. Ball cups are never threaded, the first time you put in the turnbuckle it threads it. If you are looking to get a TC3 I'd have to recomend the Factory Team. I just got one myself and feel it is well worth the extra money. If you compare the kits and what you would want to buy anyhow the team kit has it all for a lower price. I've built 4 Associated kits before and have NEVER had any problems with bad parts. Hope it helps...

My first Associated kit was a lemon...the shock o-rings were too large, and one of my shock shafts were too short...if you get a part that is the wrong size, or is unthreaded when it is supposed to be,etc., then the company will replace them for free...and you have a few extra useless parts!
