1: Is the shaft that comes with the Racer, Team, and Factory Team the same... it doesn't look like it now that I think about it.
2: Does the Racer Kit com with a Blue Anodized Motor Adjustment Clamp?
This is off of the subject but where can I find orange touring car springs to fit on the TC3???
and what does a heavy spring in the back and a lighter spring up front do to steering??? it seems to be popular.
thanks for all of your help. :)

1) the shaft is the same
2) the racer has no blue goodies. you can buy them sepertly but there is no proformance gain with the with the motor cam.
Im not sure about orange springs...
The set up question. im no set-up expert but i think its becuase the rear stays planted more in turns and down the stright and the front is lighter so it steers better?????
not sure...

In theory the stiffer springs in the rear give the front end more bite. Could be wrong but that is what I've read.

what does the motor clamp actually do??? also, this one's been bugging me... what is a counterfit transponder used for???
that one's really got me stumped
edit ~ do you think i could powder-coat the springs different colors???

Dummy Transponders are made, just for people to Set Up their car, so that they can get "even weight distribution".
About the springs, i think fat chance to this, but Losi makes orange springs...they may fit, but i do not think they will.
Maybe you could dye the springs colors? I have seen that before http://www.plauder-smilies.de/person/ticking.gif

The motor clamp is what locks the motor in place. It literally clamps down on the motor cam & prevents it from rotating, thereby holding the gear mesh. As for orange springs, the only company that makes some(that I know of) is Yokomo, & those springs are a bit soft, even though those are some of their firmest. Oh, & the dummy transponder is for the racer to simulate the weight of a real transponder when practicing without one, to get the car set up properly..... :)

i think HPI has orange shocks too. you can paint them too. i painted 2 shocks yellow on my truck over a year ago and they still look good.

Yeah, that's what I've been told too. A softer front will give you more steering, but the rear may lose some grip or something like that. I just follow the stock set up in the manual using the gold springs in front with silvers in the rear. Seems to work pretty good.

how did you paint them??? just spray paint or something???
so would i need a clamp and cam for the racer???

BrahmaBullSQ, no you do not need a clamp and cam(unless you WANT one). The racer comes with black ones....there is no performance gain with the blue parts and the blue cam is hidden anywayz so...

ok... so it does come with a clamp??? cool... more money for me! :D
oh and by the way... i forgot to ask this but... what does the front one-way do??? i probably wont' get one but i don't know what it's purpose is.

the one way allows the front tires to rotate (spin) through turns while the rear continues to put the actual power out, sorta like a drift in a real car, and allows more speed through corners, and acceleration out of turns.
