Motor limit?

I know the manufactures have a turn limit but can I use the same motor as they recomend? For example, if I have an ESC that can handle a 12T, can I run a 12T or is 13T the lowest that I can go? I have been racing in the stock class so this didn't matter to me before.

Well, those motor limits are really just recommendations by the ESC manufacturers, though it's usually a good idea to follow them for your ESC's sake. If it says it can handle a 12, then you should be ok as long as you don't overgear your car & make sure to keep the motor maintained properly..... :)
