new to hobby could someone tell me what matched batteries means and zapped or anything else that would help me i run a t3 stadium truck

Simply stated - matched cells have very similar voltage, resistance, and discharge time. This is desirable because the cells will all be performing "together" in the pack. Otherwise you have issues with a few or even a single cell being a weak link in the chain.
Cells that discharge well together - stick together. Heh, sorry, couldn't resist =P

thanks that make sense so when you see batteries with the number on them that what it means but what about if you have batteries that have now numbers what do you do are they that way becouse they are not as good should you stay away from unmatched batteries or can you have them matched if so how and at what cost. and how do you know if you have a bad cell ..???

If you have a bad cell, you should be able to tell by if 1 of the cells gets really hot before all the rest do. This will only happen about 5mins into charge otherwise you might have a cell that has very little capcity than the others.
