I finally put together that Losi XX4!! It still needs a little fine tuning, but it's running and running FAST!! There's only one thing I'm confused about. When the car is off and you're only turning one of the front wheels, is the one-way clicker thing supposed to click? I thought it was only supposed to click if you went backwards. It also clicks when I just roll the front wheels and have the backs off the ground. Is this normal? Or did I do something wrong? When I'm driving it, it's fine. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I don't want to spend another 3.5 hours fixing it again :/ Thanks! Oh, and is there anything else I should be concerned about or watch for about this car?

Nope, what you described is normal. The clicker has a few purposes, but i think mainly it is to allow only the rear wheels to have braking. When yuou put on the brakes, the front wheels just free spin.

Okay, thanks Jeep! Anything else extra-ordinary I should know about this car?

yes, its very fragile. Drive it as if you are driving a bomb around :-)

Oh come on ! It is not THAT fragile. I have had my share of breakage, but I find it reasonably durable.
The early XX-4's had some issues (shock towers and fron bulkhead), but beefier parts on the new kits has resolved this.

WOW!!! I took it out to the track today, it's sweeeeeeeeeet and lots of fun to drive!! I need better tires, but I was zoooming around the track rather easily and super fast! I made it through all the spots I usually have trouble on with my B2 with relative ease!! I think I'll be racing 4WD next season! I ran 2 packs through it and my friend ran 1. I think my friend will get one now too :) I crashed it once into the barrier and it held okay(wasn't used to the speed!) Wow, this is one great car! Wish I got one earlier...

Ya, I love mine too. The thing pretty much hauls around the track, easily laying down the power. I want a shaft drive 4WD, 1/10 scale, electric dirt buggy. The belt thingy is just so cheesy. The XX4 works really well, but I can only dream of a low resistance drive train like the TC3 for off road use ...

Yah, belts are a pain to fix. I just worked on my friend's TC3 and it was lots easier! I'm reconsidering getting the XXX-S or Street Weapon because it's more belts :/
