Its called Desire because thats what I need it to be. I desire the best scale truck on the trails. My first step to get this truck going has begun! I just won this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=110057593429&rd=1&rd=1

This truck will be used for what my other one won't. All out performace while keeping a scale apperance. Pics will be uploaded as I make progress. Hope to have some pics up early tomorrow. The truck will feature:

Lathe motor
Relocated steering servo
Relocated battery
BB's in tires
Head and tail lights
Winch
Scale acessories
Light Gun Metal paint w/ clearcoat
Can Back
Aluminum rims
Trac Bar
Mono Tuning chassis
Brass work

The point of this is I want a high lift that is fully capable on the trails. I want this one to be able to go where no other high lift can. The biggest drawback is the tranny, thats why I bought the pede tranny. My other high lift is awesome(so I hear :D ) with all the work that has gone into it. I just dont want to see it get ruined. Im off to build the axles.....

High Lift axles....its going to be mostly a High Lift w/ a twist ;) I might end up doing the Novak Crawler setup. Im looking for scale speed. Not all out balls to the wall speed.

Skyline, it wont be a "jumping" truck. Im not really going for a prerunner. I just want it to perform alot better on the trails. I dont want it to get stuck on stuff I think it should clear :D

Im going to have to make a custom mount for the tranny. Im gonna have to wait until I get it to start that. I will be keeping the leaf spring suspension and will do a trac bar in the rear. I might try a different amount of leaves than my other one.

Im trying to keep the scale look but I want it to perform alot better than a stock high lift...thats where the tranny comes in. I think with the pede tranny and a few other mods it will actually perform very well.

After I build this one....i might(keyword might) sell or partially trade my first high lift for a scale comp rig ......im thinking about it. It wouldnt include electronics except the motor. Still not sure if i can part with it after all the work that went into it.
