I saw an ad for Novak's Brushless Motor in the latest issue of Car Action mag. It didn't say a whole lot about it. Any one heard anything more of it???

I could have swore that years and years ago there were brushless motors, but then it seems nothing ever happened with them. But it looks like they should be back sometime in 2oo1. I would love to have one, it just depends on the cost and if they are allowed in any races. I think it might be the future of electric R/Cing.

Aveox and Modeltech have bl motors for RC cars. The oldest bl's I can remember in rc are the Astroflight Cobalts which I first saw in the 70's. Brushless motors do require a special ESC that senses the armatures position and switchs the polarity of the motor accordingly.

If you're curious, go to the Orange Room at www.teamnovak.com (http://www.teamnovak.com) They have a whole forum dedicated to Brushless motors.
