I know we have some of the best painter around on this forum ... I also know we have some of the most creative fellas in the hobby right here also .... Which brings me to this question......

What needs to be done to a STOCK chassis TC3 to make the HPI muscle car shells designed for the monster trucks (ie EL Camino, Dodge and Plymouth) fit onto it and have it look halfway decent ...... If anyone has done this please LMK and post pics here if possible as I really would like to see the finnished product ...... Thanks in advanced .. Big V

Hey BigDaddy - I don't think what you want to do is really possible without radically altering the TC3's chassis. The bodies made to fit the monster trucks have a wider track width and longer wheel base than touring car bodies do.

I could be wrong about some of the bodies out there, but I know the Charger body for example is just too large to fit on a touring car with doing major surgery to the car or the body looking odd on it.

There are some classic muscle car bodies made to fit TC's. Do a search on www.towerhobbies.com and you'll find them.

I'm planning on using the same bodies ('Cuda, Charger) on my modified NTC-3. Here's a pic to show how much I've 'stretched' the wheelbase to come close to looking right under this type of body. I hope it'll help handling a touch when the second engine's clutches engage as well! So far I've not had any luck with traction, even in second gear... Does anyone know how to mount 1/8 scale foams to touring car axle 12mm hex? Just the same... I'll post a few pix of the body mounted when I get some paint on it. ;)

I have never been a fan of the Chevelle to be honest ..... I dolike the lower lines of the 70's style but to actually see one in motion its like watching a shiny bath tub .....LOL
