Are motors supposed to spark ?
When going from forward to reverse , i get a pretty interesting spark coming off the brush area . It doesnt seem to do that when new , but after just a couple runs , it becomes very noticable . Motors seem to slow down as well .
Any help ?
FYI - Traxxas Rustler , Rooster ESC , Monsters of touring 19 turn double . various batteries .
Thanks .

I have had similar problems . I think they are supposed to spark well I know they are a little , but I don ' t know how much or anything . Also did you put comm drops in your motor ? Too much I know will cause an awesome spark . I had quite a flame coming off my P2K . LOL make sure its clean to .

Tep that is exatacly what happed to my Trinity ExSpet stocker. That also happens to my Chameleon Pro which by the way turns 45000 rpms (no typo it turns 45000rpms),is that rare because all of the other Chameleon Pro in the shop turned only 25000-26000rpms.

That sparking happens to everyone when you slam on the brakes/reverse from full forward.

It's not unusual for this to happen. Your running a motor at 35,000 rpm or so, then you slam it into reverse. Any motor will spark under these conditions. If you want to make your motor last a little longer, come to a complete stop before engaging reverse.
