LiPo usage

Hello everyone :wave: I am looking to get a lipo battery for my rc18b. I am looking at this battery (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=001156472&I=LXMAG2&P=K) with this charger (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=001156472&I=LXHNW5&P=K). Will these work together? I will also need an LVC from what I hear. What do you suggest? Also, how do you care for these things? I hear they can explode in not cared for correctly. Is there anything else I should know? Any help is appreciated.

The charger and battery you listed should work well together.
If you have a Mamba brushless system, you don't need a separate LVC as the LVC is built into the Mamba ESC.

try to avoid hard crashes.i crashed my 18t hard,the lipo pack swelled up to about double its size.i have no idea what happened to the second pack though.i used the truck one day,it started to go slow so i shut it off.didnt touch it for about a week.picked it up to charge the pack and the pack was swelled up to about double its normal size.the zip-tie holding the pack in the truck was imbedded into the pack :eek: just be carefull with them.

I do not have the mamba bl system right now, but I might in the future. What would be a good LVC? I found the Apogee LOA (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXMHJ9&P=7), but I have my doubts about it working for me. Is there any way I could make my own?
