I have recently decided that i wanted to build various remote controlled vehicles. I know a lot of parts and kits can be bought online or in various hobby stores, but I want to build it all from scrap. I have found plenty of information on how to build cars, planes, and other things, but i am missing instructions on how to build a controller and receiver from scratch using electronic components from an electronic hardware store. I have decided to build it all myself because it will be much cheaper and more fun.
I came on this forum for help since it looked liek the best place to get information from knowledgeable people. So, i was wondering if anyone could help me, if they know a site or something to get me started building a controller and receiver from scratch.
Thanks in advance for the help.

you really dont want to build your own transmitter and receiver, tis best to buy one because they come with warranties, already assembled, and they are smaller, get an Airtronics MX-3 system, should run a little over $100 and it comes with a bunch of digital adjustments that are easy to use
