New battery question

I'm just getting back into RC and my new battery packs came in. I can't remember if there's any special way to charge the pack the first time? Should I trickle or just give it the regular charge? Thanks

Just charge it. Just make sure you have the right charger for the cells you are using.

in the old days you could just charge them with a 12volt car charger and when they were done you could tell by the multi meter.

can you still do that?

were can i find more info on charging batterys? any helpful sites?
