Just thought I'd share some pics of my final homemade fiberglass chassis and setup for my Micro RS4. It's now the fastest RC that I own. It's downright a landmissle... :D

Enjoy

Looks good. Keep us posted on how it fairs over a long period, I'm interested to know how the glass holds up with repeated use and flexing.

I bet the impact that caused the damage to your body gave you a little "pucker factor" for a few seconds!

^^ Yep. Actually, I've been using a fiberglass chassis one way or another for probably the last 8 months. It takes a really big impact to crack the stuff. Holds up really well to pretty much everything. I can see no difference in the flex characteristics of the material after repeated use, from the minute it comes off the workbench to now.

The BL system is fairing really well, and is showing absolutely no signs of heating up or struggling to do what it's doing. Buy brushless, folks :D

Overall, it's a highly successful setup. I'll track-test the fiberglass chassis and the brushless combo sometime soon if I can.

I'm running a 6-cell pack of IB1400's that I got from CheapBatteryPacks :) They preform pretty darn nice for the $18~ish I got 'em for, If I remember correctly. In any case, this thing is unbeleivably fast.

Even 1400 mah doesn't last all that long with a power system like this... :D

Video's up! :D Quality's a bit poor, since Photoshop resizes it, but it's still enjoyable ;)

It's the 6800 ;) Its surprisingly fast for 6 cells. On a 11.4 V Li-po this thing should fly! :D

I run my micro on 3cell lipo with mamba 8kv motor. Its to fast, its never been able to reach full speed, it gets to much air under it and just flips.
