Here's an interesting question...

If you could have any paid position in the R/C field, what would it be and why?
(driver, owner of a LHS, writer of RCCA, engineer, etc.)

How about a collector? Just give me everything I want and I'll be happy. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I'd love to be a big time racer, but I'm not too fond of trying every setup known to man to see what happens.

I want to OWN something like AE, Losi, O.S. Picco, Trinity, etc, etc. Face it, the pay in R/C in next to nothing, and only the big businesses make enough money to live on. OK, live on in complete luxery.

A driver, baby! Why? You get to meet and beat so many interesting people. Then you get to put your arm around the trophy girl, THEN on accident you grab her butt... I'm kinda going off here sorry. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Be part of R&D (research and development) with someone like Losi or Associated or even a Traxxas or HPI. I love creating stuff and improving on things. I always have ideas, just no time and money to do them.

I'd wanna be part of C&D, carnage and destruction. Battle bots baby. Does that pay though? I'd love to make killer robots and get paid big money. And maybe, on accident, one of my many bots would slip onto the track in the form of ST. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Oh yeah.

No.. I couldnt do that to the poor people on the receiving end.

LHS owner with a mailorder buisness running out the back door. RC cars, planes, boats, rockets. And two tracks one dedicated oval/road course. Indoor oval/dirt off road course.

I'm with Speed... But I also want a paved oval and dirt course outside for the nitro guys. Oh, both of the tracks outside would be under a large screened in carport like building with stadium lighting for all night racing.

Man, I'm rooting for Editor of a bigtime magazine, think about it, you get to test drive all the new models, create extreme cars and trucks, meet other Authors and share stories and ideas, you are encouraged to play with your toys, Check the forums and delete anybody you want, travel and meet all the racers and say your a photographer for Playboy and take pictures of the TROPHY BABE. Now that a dream job!!! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/cool.gif

I might have to go with Mexican_Speed. If not for all the test driving, the trophy girl... http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif God Bless America... Although, they have the trophy girls everywhere. But we have the "read 'em for the articles" magazines. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

We ALWAYS have openings for new contributors! If you think you've got what it takes to write for us, send a writing sample to me at peterv@airage.com. Write a how-to, review a product you already have, write a "Project" article about your RC masterpiece...anything. Also include a brief bio with your age, hobby experience, favorite type(s) of RC, and any other info you think I should know.

I invite countless people to take this first step and send in a writing sample, but few actually do it. Go for it! That's how I got started with RCCA!

PeterV,
I'll take you up on that. I have been wanting you folks to do a nostalgia feature anyways. Might as well do it myself. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Thank you for the chance. One question though. I am in the service and would not be able to relocate. Would I be able to do articles from home?
