Hey everyone, just got back from the track and my losi xxx-s is making a noise, upon closer examination I noticed that the front two tires are rubbing against the bottom of the shock tower when I make a strong right or left turn...I have tried to adjust the toe in (the shop owner at the LHS told me to try this) and it did not help at all, in fact all I got from that was stripped turnbuckle ends...Any help/suggestions would be greatly appretiated...Another question that I had was about engines, I have the losi xxx-s and a TC4, and I just replaced the engines with stock 27t trinity monsters...the TC4's engine is running MUCH faster for some reason, it even sounds quicker the TC4 blows the xxx-s away and I cannot figure out why, I asked some people at the shop and they were not too familiar with the losi...Thanks agian in advance and any help that you guys can provide would greatly assist me

the tc4 is shaft driven so it will be faster especially in stock.usually shaft driven is the stock master car of choice here.other way around mod is the belt driven.if you were to run a 10 turn mod in both now the belt would be faster being it have better handling for that kinda power.
i cant see your wheels rubbing on the bottom of the shock tower.do you mean the shocks themselves?if you can take a picture.also what radio are you using.you can perhaps dial some steering out

I am using a JR Radio with the LCD screen to make adjustment...I will try to post a picture tonight...But yesterday I tried to race the car and did half a lap and it started to smoke the wires leading from ESC to the receiver burnt out, I am sending the ESC and Motor back to Losi in hopes that they will replace it since the car is about 2-3 weeks old with MAYBE 7-8 practice sessions on it...(so about an hour at most drive time) I hope they stand behind their product...

i hopw you werent ovegeared.what esc is it?in the jr manuel look for the steering servo travel ajustments.basically all you do is scroll thru he lcd menu until it says stl.(steering travel left)turn the wheels to the left and set back the travel to 90%.if that dont take the wheels of the tower keep taking it down, then turn wheels to right and do the same.

The car couldnt have been over geared, it was the stock pinion and stock motor...Plus the car did half a lap and thats when it happened...It was a Novak ESC Sport reversible http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGNG5&P=ML ....
