Hey, is not THAT bad!I kinda like it! Of course, you can correct all the blurs using some pinstripe.

Looks good, some of the shading is a little rough, but a lot better than you usually see at tracks! I say good job.

Please, don't show him my Viper body or he's going to be all happy and proud of his stratii one... Really, my body is horrible. I had no acess to any kind of spray can or airbrush or anything like this. So I used my hand, a regular brush, some pencils... :D Horrible.

When that thing is flying around the track, you can't see those imperfections... very cool design... you'll get better with each body you paint.

^^Same here. Looks pretty good to me, but I am not a big fan of the graffics going up the windshield(you wouldn't see it on a 1:1 car).

It'll just be a blur anyways as its zipping around the track. so I don't think a few mistakes will matter, unless youre running concourse

Good design, dude. Just for future reference, It seems that black electrical tape works beautifully for masking Lexan. It leaves a super sharp edge so there's very very very little bleeding if any (as long as you press the tape down well), it also conforms realy well to curves because it streches. Seriously though, good design. The concept is close to pro looking and the execution is seriously pretty good. I just started using an air brush today for the first time with some Parma masks, and here's what I've got..

electrical tape , really..? i will consider that...... it will conform to edges by streching while STILL not bleeding???
but im looking into the liquid mask anyway.. :roll2:

Yeah, exactly. It's slightly strechy so you can make nice curves with it. I wouldn't suggest trying to pinstripe flames with it, but as far as medium-large curves go and even pinstriping wheel wells and stuff, I've had great luck with electrical tape. A really nice thing is taking waxed paper, covering the entire thing in electrical tape and cutting up custom masks with an x-acto knife. With the end result being similar to the Parma paint masks. Just make sure to NOT OVERLAP the tape. Lay a strip down on the waxed paper, then lay one down RIGHT next to the other piece. Once you have it covered completely go over it with a second layer of tape to cover up any small gaps you may have left between tape on the first layer. The very most important thing to remember when masking a body is to make SURE that everything is pressed down and adhering to the body as well as possible otherwise you WILL get bleeds irrelevant of what type of mask you're using. Anyway, Yep! Electrical tape. Make sure it's new and hasn't been melted by the sun or anything.. and experiment with two or three brands and make sure they don't leave any residue. I've tried 3M brand high-end electrical tape (about $4/small roll) or actually a brand called like.. "The Rubber Company" or something. I forget exactly what it's called but the rolls are usually displayed in bulk (not packaged) and on the inside of the brown paper roll/tube it will say something like "The Rubber Co." or something. Anyway, yep!

Do it! Go for the liquid mask -Bob Dively makes the best -I think-. As for 'the weeps' and bleeding around tape edges... Y'all ought to try a bamboo skewer ->sold by the hundreds for a dollar at your local grocer :teacher: - Makes THE best 'eraser' I've ever seen for lexan 'slips'. Test it out for yourself! Take care in which direction you rub with the sharp tip, as well as the amount of pressure you use. You can also add small details with them, kind of like using a quill pen. I try to stay away from tape. Although, I keep a few rolls sealed in plastic bags for stripes, ->to keep lint and other 'shop dust' from forming on the edges when the roll is carelessly placed-. If you're careful with your striping tape, it'll cut down on 'the weeps' a lot.
Best of luck!!
