Battery dischargeing question

Could i discharge my batteries on my light bulbs until the lights start to get dim, and then put it on my indi 16x2 charger on 1A discharge? Would that be better then just taking them all the way down on the lightbulbs?

The problem with leaving the batteries on the light bulbs is when they drop the battery all of the way down, come of the cells will start to reverse. When cells start to reverse, the battery becomes damaged.

Your idea will work, so long as you are careful to watch the bulb set.
