that will be the question.......

i was asked tonight, if given the chance, what would i build. A fellow member gave me the challange of building the most off-the-wall r/c truck i could think of that would be practicle.

here's what i got:

my mind is always thinking outside the box, so, the following months, this will be a build of odd proportions.


Traxxas Stampede: the quintisential bash truck. the twist? center trans, 4WD, 4WS, with crab-steering abilities, single motor, mounted midship, ect.

look for 1/8 scale parts involved, 32 pitch for reliability, and some sick and weird combinations!

Sounds interesting. Good luck on your project. Something I got out of doing similar custom projects is recognition and an appreciation for the innovation and design efforts built into the current cars and trucks on the market already. This hobby has come a long ways.

i will update when i can...my "customer" will be shippign donor parts soon,...so the monsterfication will begin. I tend to set myself some rather unrealistic goals, then reach them, so this is another challenge that WILL happen.

Goal: a 25-30 mph truck, 4WD, that can jump, handle, and ...............crawl:D

I would love to make a custom touring car with a fully monocoque chassis, lay down suspension, engine in the front, rear wheel drive, and room enough to actually have a cabin. I figure I would make it 'large' scale.
