Have had a Robitronic Dyno for almost a year...but have yet to be able to find the infa red output for it. Part number is HP1R. Any idea where to purchase? I have tried the various online distributors...but no luck.

Also....what is the length of the cables on your Robitronic Dyno? You guys get some MONSTER numbers out of every stocker that you test.....come one....give it up....does Steve P. have special comm drops???

Boss - I'm not aware of the infrared option, but I'll see if I can find out more about it. You might also want to try sending an email to Robitronic. They're usually pretty good about getting back to you quickly.

I don't know the lenght of the cables - they're however long they were when I received the dyno, but I'll measure them. Do you think that affects the numbers? I have two dynos, one standard and one modified for testing the 6 to 10 turn motors, and both give me about the same results, at least within an acceptable margin. I don't think the numbers I'm getting are the result of any special preparation, if anything I'm just real picky about being consistent in my practices and I avoid those that can generate inconistent results.

BTW - I don't use any comm drops - they hurt the numbers.

Steve,
Thanks for the quick reply. I have contacted Robitronic's personally (Robert is GREAT!!!...He can give lessons on customer service...and an all around good guy to boot!!!). He provided all the info that he could...but his hands (and mine) are kind of tied in the U.S.

The part number is HP1R....I have also contacted HP...but they do not know of an infared port either. The motherboard on my PC has the capability.....so does the dyno in stand alone operation.

What are the modifications to the Robitronic dyno for 6-10 turn motors....I heard, through the grapevine, different software and larger FETS...any more info?

hehe...I knew that you did not use comm drops either.
