I'm getting the RS4 Micro and it's strapped for space. I'm going to be using a standard sized JR Racing AM reciever so that leaves me with even less room for the ESC. I looked on Stormerhobbies.com and they had the GM V4 reversing ESC for about $70. It looks like I can change wires by simply desoldering them on the external tab. Has anyone here tried this one out? Is it a good ESC? Thanks.

I have never tried the GM, but I know Futaba makes a ESC that is very small in that pricerange or less. It's the MC330. The MC230 is even less expensive and the same size. They both include reverse that can be disabled.

Yes, I have the MC330CR in my TC3 and it's great, but it it limited to 6-7 cells. The RS4 Micro is designed to handle 4-5 cells (AA). I can probably squeeze in more if I use AAA's, but that would reduce my runtimes. I was planning to get the LRP Quantum Reverse, but that costs too much.
