In the Touring Car Issue I just received I saw Pentagon Shocks and they are originally for HPI cars. But... what would I need to do to put them on the TC3?
Has anyone done this or will I be the first? BTW... are ALL four shocks $20 or is it two for $20? Thanks.

I have done this before and they go on quite easily. It is $20 per PAIR, so it would cost you $40 for four shocks. Everything is aluminum - even the ball ends. The shock slides onto an aluminum ball that then slides onto the long screw on the shock tower. I found there was a little play between the aluminum balls and the mounting screw. Also, you'll need some kind of washer to secure the bottom as one side of the open ball end is flared so that the aluminum ball can slide in. I'm probably confusing you now, but once you have the shocks in hand, you'll understand what I mean.

thanks... what colors do the shocks come in? or is it just purple? also... what kind of washer would it be? a normal one or like a concave washer of some sort???
where can i get them from? that's the biggest question.

Well, I found some blue and purple ones, and that's it. A normal, flat washer should work. I use a washer because the lower screw head is not wide enough to keep the shock from sliding off. If you can find a washer that's about the same diameter (or larger) as the plastic nut that holds the top of the shock in, it should work nicely. You can even cut your own out of a scrap piece of lexan.
Unfortunately, I don't know of any on-line stores that sell them. My hobby shop is well stocked so I had no problem finding them.
