Big Jim once suggested a Reedy brush, but I can't remember what they were. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

Elliott.

most people run P-94's or 767's

If you're looking for a standard size, Reedy's Quasar brushes are good. If it's the P94 size, it has to be a Trinity brush.

"767" are laydown brushes,

The Quasars were the brushes Big Jim suggested, I think. Thanks.

What are the 'best' Trinity brushes?

Stick with the Reedys, they're more consistent.

Well, that depends on what you're looking for, if it's "money is no object" performance, than their XXX brushes in that Octagonal shape is probably their best brush for a mod(but all XXX brushes are pricey, as in around $11-14 per pair). Barring those, my favorite Trinity mod brush compound is their 4383's, good power & the comm wear's not too bad on them....

Sometimes manufacturing tolerances can cause changes in how much power a brush produces, that happened with the 4383s during the brush shortage.

Standup normal size brushes Putnam X, Trinity 4383, Reedy 737 or 728 for 4cell oval. The Trinity Lemans XXX and Reedy Plutonium are too pricey and are not always long wearing - if motor is overgeared or spring tension is off I've seen racers wear out a set after only one battery pack. For reduced comm wear but still decent power try Reedy 738 or 729 in a polarized setup, run higher silver brush on positive and lower silver on negative side.
Laydown motors - Putnam Green (pos), Blue (neg), Reedy 767 or 769 Hollow, Trinity 4499, RIP Motors Sports 602, 603, Finishline F Brush.

For weekly oval racing I like to use the Reedy brushes, more consistant, a few extra runs for about the same power. The Putnam brands seems to make more power but for a shorter number of runs and are usually used at big events and regional races - also require more frequent maintenance.

I use to use a whole bunch of different brands (BRP, EastCoast, Maxtech, Race Prep etc) found that generally they were all the same in power produced. So now I limit choice to 1-3 brands and 2 compositions, plus I found a great source for buying at bulk quanity that saves more.
