I got a hold of an old car from the 80's or so and I'm wondering if anyone on here has been into the hobby long enough to tell me who made the car.

I kind of want to find a replacement body and there are no markings other than pennzoil and goodyear.

I conclude that I know next to nothing about these cars and It's a pretty good car to be able to break traction the whole way across my kitchen floor.

I'm not sure, it definitely isn't an Associated RC10L, even older than that.

Anybody?

The car was made by MRP (Model Racing Products). That version was an entry level/play type pan car, they did make a competitive style kit (can't remember the name it went by) but I never say one on the track around here.
You'll probably see alot of older pan cars, newer ones as well being sold. In some areas pan car oval is big. Everyone wants the best, so many will sell discontinued or old chassis for the newest chassis.

I got the parts to update the battwery connectors today(go powerpoles) and when I was in the hobbytown it was the talk of the back section of store. I've found that it has enough junk in the trunk that even after over 20 yrs (someone in the family got it used in 81) it can burn a tire in the school parking lot.
