I hope I can get some advice on this one,
I'm looking for a new set of tires for my TA04, right now it's running hpi x-patterns
they've worked fairly well.
I've been hearing a lot about all different types of tires. and I'm just wondering which route to take. I've heard alot about Sorex tires, the local hobby shop just got a shipment of them in, they're all 24mm though.
so far I've only ran 26mm, what's the difference?
anyways, I've also heard a lot about prolines
H13s, and Losi's.
which way should I go, Please help guys,
by the way I race in a pretty clean track
but it's neither treated or high bite.
the layouts are usually technical with maybe one straight (sometimes)

for a dirty or somewhat unprepared track go with Proline's Sedan Hawg. Possibly LP Slicks 2. possibly. but the sedan hawgs are made for dusty tracks.

You are racing on asphalt/road I assume. I would try to go with a tire that is soft and has a decent tread, like a pattern/non-slicks.

i love my x patterns. i got the pro compound, and they have lasted at least 30+ runs and they are just starting to loose their tread (only on the inside though). i run on asphault that is semi smooth, however there are some very rough sections (asphault has large bits of jagged rock sticking out.

great grip and everything!

Have you looked at Jaco, Duratrax, or Bolink tires? I don't know if you want foam or not though.

thanks for all the advice guys, as it happens when I went to the hobby shop to pick up the tires I ran into one of the guys that races sedan/modified at my track (I run sedan stock),he races Yokomo slicks (medium compound) and he highly recommended them, for overall grip, speed and stability at our track. I went ahead and picked up a set. We'll see what happens

Actually you probly got the best advise, from someone you race with/against.
Good luck,
