Which do you think would perform better? I am thinking the the shaft driven would be better for offroad but the HPI got the longer shocks. Your opinions? What do you think is the best electric rally? Thanks

I have raced my RS4 rally against a TC3 Rally and I think the RS4 performs better, especially on the bumpy, rough stuff. Although Associated includes longer shock shafts in the conversion kit, it just isn't long enough to handle the rough terrain.
The shaft drive may be tougher than belts, but a slipper clutch is available for the RS4, and I don't think there is one for the TC3. Also, the RS4 has an inner-body to help keep debris out whereas the TC3 is all open chassis and the tub design tends to catch and hold dirt. On smoother off-road tracks with very mild jumps and hills, the TC3 may have an advantage in handling as it sits a bit lower than the RS4. Comparing the two rally cars, I think the RS4 is better.

The thing is associated only has the conversion kit. they should come out with a real rally car kit with longer shocks.
