I have a rustler rite now and I love how bulletproof it is for bashing, espically on concrete. I want to get into racing and I dont know if i should fix up the ruster or sell it and get a T3. I also want to keep bashing as well so how tough is a T3 compared to the rustler?

Jump right in there and race what you have! Find out what tires work well at the track. Get a set, and get out there. It'll, more than likely, take you a while to be able to consistenly lap the track without hitting the barriers. When you reach that point, you'll really benefit from a T3 or a XXXT.
Just save your money for a little longer and get a Facory team or Matt Francis. I think these are the best value if you intend to continue racing. The included titaniam turbuckles alone make the price difference worth it.
As far as toughness... I haven't broken anything on my FT T3 yet! I must say my T3 has never been run off the track. I do all my bashing with my rc10gt.
I think that Rustlers are a little more sturdy, though.

well, yes a ft is the best t3 you can buy, but it is a little steep. I mean if i had the money, i would buy that in a second, but for now i have a t3 rtr, and its pretty tough, and you can upgrade the parts on it, plus it comes with an esc, and a motor. Wll if ya eer consider trading me my t3 for yours let me know :D anyways, i think t3's r da best, mine does pretty well in the races here. :D :D
