Let me start out by saying that i apologize if this question hs asked before but i cant see a thread on this right now so ill chance the question
After having played with 1/10 & 1/8 scale cars and buggies id like to try some 1/10 scale electro touring cars and race them at the local Hobby town Parking lot race track.
I need some advise on what car i could start out with. I prefere top brand stuff. Money is an object but not very.
Thank you for all your help guys.

If I were you, I'd go for one of these three:

- Team Losi XXX-S
- Team Associated TC3
- X-Ray T1

They're all top-o-the line and hard to decide between. :)

Who can i order the respective kits from?
Also, i am looking at the TC3 Factory kit.
Worth its money? $499 retail

A Factory Team TC3 is only about $299. Well worth the cash!

Heh, I can't let this thread go by with out me throwing in my own two cents.

I know people are going to tell you to get what your LHS sells so you can get replacement parts, but...

Check out the Tamiya TA04. From what I can tell, this car is getting a lot of attention. I have one and it's SOOO fast. It was fast out of the box, and it's monsterously fast with my mod-motor in it.

If you're going to race it or wanna look cool, get the TA04 PRO or TA04-S (sport). They come with the option parts I ended up buying anyway.

You'll probably have to get an HPI or some other body to race with since Tamiya bodies aren't allowed for whatever reason - if it's real races.

Please check it out at least -- Tamiya rocks.

299 not bad. As for the Tamya. My LHS actually has tons of Tamya parts.

go with the Associated RC10TC3. i'm about to buy the team version myself. i think shaft drive is more reliable than belt-driven cars. but if you do get a belt-driven go with the Tamiya TA04. gotta bounce.

I think that you should wait a fwe more months, just to see what exactly the new Losi sedan can do, plus, do not count out:
Schumacher
HPI
Yokomo MR-4TC<---current world champion

I have a TC3 and it is the best choice I have ever made. I just wish I'd waited for the Factory Team version. The New HPI Pro 3 is a pretty bad car, but I like my TC3 better. You can also find parts everywhere.
