View Full Version : 2000 cells for stocktouring?
Hi guys/gals
I've heard, that 3000 and 2400 cells aren't as good in stockracing than 2000 cells. Am I right? If it's right, that's cool 'cos 2000 cells are much cheaper than 3000 and 2400!

they give more voltage than 2400's and 3000's, giving you more punch. in stock you dont need to worry about runtime. i race stock too and i might even consider 1700 because of their higher voltage than 2000's 2400's and 3000's.

I tell you what, we were clueless on what voltage was back in the early stages of the 2000 year. Ha Ha Ha! Sorry, just had to bring this post back, it's been forever...

I use piranha 1800 SCX because of there higher voltage. use anywhere from a 1600 to 1900 and you'll be fine. I have a stock 4-tec and i get about 15 minutes runtime

I'm not saying anything against NiCds, but they have such low runtimes...

piranha 1800 SCX don't have high voltage.......
you'll get about 15 minutes running 3/4s speed with a 380 motor

I get about 1-hour runtime running 75% throttle with a 3000mAh battery pack, I have a stock motor, though...

There is absolutely no way you could get one hour runtime on 3000 batteries. And dont try and argue it, as there is no way to get that long of runtime, even with lipolys.

Okay, I exaggerated, 45 minutes, but I ran it at, like, half-throttle...
