Hey all! I am trying to paint a body for my Vendetta, specifically a carbon fiber look, and I need some help! I bought the drawer liner stuff at Walmart, but it looks like the hole spacing is too big for a 1/18th scale vehicle. It looks like it would work fine for 1/10th or 1/8th scale. Is there a material I can use to do the carbon fiber look or will this work ok? Thanks!

Matt

RCMadMatt, I did the vent portion on this F430 with screen door mesh.
It comes close when compared to the carbon decal on the wing. I used the same steps listed in the link supplied earlier.

If you look through my gallery you will see that on the 1/18th scale stuff I like my CF too look real. I use the inside of a bathing suit liner. The reason being that when you spray the Silver (1st) it will bleed through the mesh, then when you back it with black you will see the affects it creates. Very nice and clean. And it's alright for the corners not to be so perfect as you want it to look like Carbon Fiber
