Speedtech has specially tuned MVP and GM3 based motors. Has anyone used these? Is it worth the extra $10 over the normal price of an MVP or GM3?

the matrix motors aren't bad... but if i'm going with a real "tuned" motor, my personal preference is Fantom... their tuned stockers always seem to Haul.... they just never seem to put out a bad one...

the only Maxtrix i have right now is an MVP... and it suffered from the same problems (overheating, no punch) that i had with a Dillon tuned MVP, and a bone stock MVP...

i have used several other matrix motors in the past with decent success.... i've never had a problem with them until this last MVP.... but i blame that more on the inherited MVP problems, not on the motor tuner...

so would it be worth the extra 10 bucks?? probably not if you do a lot of your own motor tuning.... but if you would rather just bolt one up and go racing... it may very well be worth the extra 10 spot...

peace out.... :)

btw... if you get one.. please post how it runs for ya, your gearing used ect....

Howie,
Do you have a good lead on where to pick up a Fantom motor? No one around here sells them.

how many do ya want?? LOL.. we have several in stock...

i think we only have 1- Fantom P-2-K left, they are kinda hard to come by right now... but we have several of the Fantom GM-3's and they are stupid fast...

Idaho, shoot me an email if you want one (or two, or three... LOL)....

peace out... :)
