Greetings all from the Arabian Gulf!

I've just bought my first nitro R/C car - an HPI RS4 RTR as that's the most popular model out here in Bahrain - and finished off with a Pennzoil Skyline body. I absolutely love the thing, still running it in but happily fiddling about with hop-up parts and spending too much money and time at the local hobby store.

I was wondering whether anyone's fitted a Tamiya wide body to the HPI chassis - much as I love the Skyline, I really want to get an accurate Super GT-spec 350Z/Fairlady body for it too in either Calsonic or Xanavi colours, but don't want to end up with something that won't fit.

HPI does 350Z/Fairlady bodies but they're stock, without the extra wide wings and flappy winglet things that the Tamiya bodies have. Any guidance welcome - I'm only one week into this great hobby!

Thanks in advance guys...

Any 200mm body should fit that chassis. The real wheel wells may not line up absolutely perfectly, but should not be off more that a few millimeters.

You mentioned "Super", I don't know if you are talking about a Super Nitro body (which is 300mm) or something else. Stick with 200mm bodies and you should be able to run anything made by any manufacturer.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Chad, that's straightened things out nicely.

Super GT is the championship that these Rice Rockets run in - Honda NSX, Nissan 350Z/Fairlady, Lexus SC430 and Toyota Supra for the most part. Go to http://www.supergt.net (Nice Rice)

Ok. I thought it might be a full-scale racing class, but just wanted to be sure.

Glad I could help!
