I'm down to 2 airbrushes now.. I like how the badger has bottom/gravity feed. HP-CS has great reviews, so if anyone has both of these or has tried them both out.. can you help me decide. Thanks

I have the Iwata HP-CS now... previously used a Paacshe VL. The Iwata is 10X better in my opinion.

Thanks for the comments I'm going with Iwata, does the HP-CS have any problems spraying faskolor metallic or those glitter paints?? I was thinking about getting a .5mm needle. Also can I spray Bob Dively liquid mask through this airbrush?? If its not good for it I'll just brush it on.

for liquid mask, i use a harbor frieght el-cheapo $5.00 single action...works great.

IMO, it is far easier brushing liquid mask on and it gives the same finish, maybe better, then spraying it on. The CS should be able to spray metallics but don't expect hairlines with the metallics. :p

THanks for the info.. I'm just starting so I won't be doing any super fine detail. Yah your right maybe I should just stick with a brush for liquid mask, less mess to clean up.
Can someone help me out with the part numbers I need to do a .5mm needle conversion on the HP-CS please????
and what would be a good hose to go with for this brush, does it really make a difference?

The Iwata website should have part numbers.
For the hose, you can get a coiled or an uncoiled hose. I like having the uncoiled hose better because it doesn't seem to tug on the airbrush as much. Uncoiled just keeps the hose off the floor.

I use the braided hose on the top right.
