You might need a servo saver If you don't have one. Other than that I don't know what to tell you.

Get the meatal-gear servo.
From my experience Futaba standard servos are much much more durable than the Hitec's standard servos.

I've been in RC Cars both on-road and off-road for over 10 years and I've NEVER had a servo strip out on me. Last week I actually had a servo saver I've been using for almost 8 years break, I was like shocked!! I've always used Futaba servos (the ones that came with my radio/reciever). As long as you get the metal gear and ball bearing you'll be happy. They are only a little more, but you'll never have to replace them again - also better performance out of them!! ALWAYS remember to use a servo saver (I use the white springgie circle things - your LHS can help you out here). Good luck!

I've had a futaba S9303 for years that takes constant abuse and keeps on tickin'--definitely worth the money. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

there is a small nerled thumbwheel i believe on associated cars, just back it off a hair, not too much, or you will see your cars steering just be very slow.

Get a kimbourough servo saver for about $5. I have a T3 and I had servo stripping problems too... the built in servo saver dosn't work very well so just buy one of the servo savers that doubles as a servo horn and that solved my problem. And as for the built in one tighten it up and dont worry about it because it will just cause problems if you loosen it.

Right above the steering servo there is a brace, just under that brace there is a knurled thumbscrew. Turn that thumbscrew clockwise to tighten or c.c. to loosen. I wasn't happy with the added servo saver someone mentioned above. It made the steering too sloppy. Invest in a decent metal gear servo. I think some of the Hitecs have a two year warrenty. I never broke a plastic gear servo in twelve years until I got a T3, its just the nature of the beast

WHICH BRACE ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
