Opinions of the best battery? I plan to do some serious racing and I want to have the best possible batteries. Any help is appreciated.

I think you'll do fine with Sanyo 2400 or Panasonic 3000 SMH batteries. These are the top cells for racing at present.
There's realy no "best" batteries man...go with anything MATCHED...2400 are good, and you need any battery charger...doesn't matter since they are NI-CD's...the new 3000 Stock Metal Hydrides also put out lots of voltage, but cost more, and it helps to have a good battery charger such as the Novak Millenium. The Millenium also needs a DC Power Supply. If you can spare the money, go with MATCHED batteries. Club spec are good, but if you have the money, shoot for some national or worlds matched batteries. This way, you wont have two cells of different voltages...so you get tops performance. Oh, by the way, if you dont want to buy the stock metal hydrides, buy anything Sanyo.

I just bought some Trinity Time Warp 1900mah Racing packs to practice with.
They are really good batterys at a really good price. They perform almost as good as my Trinity 2400 matched packs......i can still tell the diff between the 2.......but its alot of bang for your buck on a budget!
Id get what Steve said cuz thos are some good batts.
