I can't be sure, but I wonder, did you make sure the reciever plug from the servo to the reciever had the wires in the correct order? They're not all the same from brand to brand. For example, I know that KO Propo used to have their plugs in a pattern unique to them, until a few years ago when they finally switched to one identical to Futaba(the defacto standard), but before that, if you bought a Futaba servo to use with a KO radio, you had to change the plug wire order in order for it to work....

im not sure you might be right, but, the wires on my ESC are the same colot in the same order, is this wrong or correct..?? I emailed Hitec...
Thanks griz...

The receiver plug wires are the only thing I believe will cause that problem. I see you're checking; good.

I just called the guys at TOwer went through the whole thing and i have to return i am NEVER EVER giving them another nickel. I have ordered a car, servo, radio, receiver and have yet to get a WORKING product from them. I have spent over 400 dollars in RC products and yet to recieve a working product. TOwer needs to work on quality control, because right now it stinks! there customer service is horrendous, its like they throw some stupid cheerleader on the phone or something... when i finally get to their tech help they just tell me to send it in, that takes a week, they replace/refund it, could take around a week... AHHHHHH. This is the biggest junk ever, i say to you, do not buy from tower they are junk. Does anybody know a GOOD online site to order from? im sry for bashing tower but they have been pissin* me off for a bout a year now and ive had enough!!

P.S. i guess my pint is, DONT BUY FROM TOWER!

Car Head, think a little here man...dont order from tower, period. Only begginers order from them. The more you buy from them, the less hobby shops we will have. Since Great Planes is behind it, they take all the money. They dont want to distribute to smaller shops either. Go to your LHS, and buy a servo from them...if anything has problems they'll replace it on the spot...who's going to help you when something breaks, tower? No...from what you are saying, the products arent defective. Take a minute and re-read the manuals, twice! Its impossible to have so many problems dude. check that all the wires that go into the servo plug are in the right order. Did you try to use throttle on your car? Who says that the servo is the problem? They should be in a certain order. try pluging your servo into the other channel spot. then rotate it 180 degrees, in both spots. Its different for most receivers. What order are the wires in? Black, brown, white? Post here, ill see what i can do.

I had once sent my Transmitter back to Hitec, it took me 20 days to have it repaired. If you are talking about servos I think the Hitec doesn't make any good. First I had two HS-300 on my B3(the gears stripped easily) and then I had one BB servo (gears stripped again and then I replaced the gear, after worked for a while the servo glitch unbelieveable. (Internal electronic compenents problem). Then finally I bought best one form Hitec 5925 digital servo, that was my last chance to give the Hitec a try. It disappointed me. The servo beeps no matter when. I finally decided to go back to Futaba. Futaba makes the better servos, I think they use better quality Plastic material in their servos. Very hard to strip. Even with the most inferior one 3003. I had 3003 on the Rustler for more than a year It never stripped no matter how hard I crashed my truck.

Alright, try this...take out the wires from the plug. Take a hobby knife, and lift up the tabs, and take the wires out. Make certain they are in order, two times. what order are they in? Sorry I got angry at you...I just hate Tower...Post what order the wires are in looking at the side with the tabs.
You can also check the wires connected to inside of the servo. Unscrew those four long screws from the servo check the soldering points for those three wires. But you might void the warranty.
It shouldn't void the warranty as long as he doesn't try to solder anything in there...as long as he just opens it and looks at it...no probs.

okay here we go, the wire order is black, red, yellow (or yellow red black). I lifted up the tabs and took out the wires, everything looks fine... (anything specific to look for?) also, my older servo has the same order of wires as this one...

i opened up the servo, the wires are all connected, no solder missing...
Alright...heres what you do next...make certain that there are no burs inside the plug, then put them all back. Make certain that they are all in ALL THE WAY. Try to do the different combonations with the plugs AGAIN. Channel 1, 2, rotate 180 degrees...just do it anyway. Post results ASAP. I dont want a fellow hobbyist to experience not being able to run his car for 2+ weeks!!!!!!!!! :)

Hey, ummm, bashing on something like tower is not needed, look, i am not trying to be a jerk, but in the User Agreement statement, it says clearly something like you posted above is a big no-no, please, control your temper, and typing next time.
I am sorry to hear that you have had bad luck with Tower, I have once had a problem with them, but i found it no biggie, because I pocketed an extra body.
EDIT:Mainly, what i am trying to say, is that you can express the same thing in a way that does not interfere with the user agreement statement.(you did read that, didn't you?)

ok, i am sorry, i dont want to get banned or anything, i guess what i was trying to say is that i have had an overall bad experience with tower hobbies and I personally would not recommend them.
sorry

also, I thought it was necessary , and that people should know that they arent the greatest people to deal with...
Thats a good idea car head...just send it back to tower, say it was defective...and then just get your money back and buy a good servo at your lhs(if its a good price). Or, just tell them to send you a new one...its gonna take 2 weeks that way though. Good luck!
