Heheh, it's a little late to be asking now isn't it ? :p
You will like it a lot !
use the book setup. It works well in most cases. Only minor tweaks will be required from there.

te b3 is awsome! enjoy it. :) I love mine. specially when I can beat my cousins xx4. :) :)
The only things I don't like alot are the front top plate and the rear shock tower. So far I have replaced four top plates and 5 shock towers.
And now I am tired to replace the top plates, I just glue it with the shoe goo when it cracks.

lol...hey i was having trouble filling the shocks...i would fill it all the way, and do what ever the book told me, but it still would come out a 1/4 inch like it said...plus when i spin the wheel, it wiggles BIGTIME.....
by the way, i do plan on racing it, and i have a cyclone esc, and a speed gem 14T...how does it sound? or do i need to get a faster motor?

i also have a xx4, got tired of 4wd...i had another question...is 2wd faster than 4wd?? I had the same setup on my xx4 (cyclone and speed gem) and was wondering if the B3 will go faster....

cck: How are you breaking top plates?
Sasoon: You'll love it. I probably won't handle as well as your XX4 (depends on track, though), but it'll have better parts support and be a heck of a lot easier to work on.
I started out with the Team edition (FT wasn't out yet) and had some trouble with the stock parts, especially the front shock tower. But since you have all the graphite, you'll be fine (I haven't broken any of the graphite hop-ups that I have bought yet). Depending on your track, 14 turns should be fine. I use a 15 turn and can keep up with the fast guys (the only reason I don't win is because I crash more often).
Make sure you tighten your diff enough. The first time I took my B3 out, I hit the throttle and it went no where. This was only my second car, so it took me two days to figure out that the diff wasn't tight enough. Oh well :D
You'll love this car!
when the car was in full speed and it flipped over (sometimes up to 5,6 flips). the front shock tower hit to the groung thus it push all the impact to the front top plate. Both top plate and the rear shock were the victims.

I love my FT B3, but it comes down to setup and practice - You'll love it once you learn to "tweak" it :)

cck: Oh, I see now... The graphite front shock tower will probably never break, but I guess it can just transfer the force to other stuff.

Love my ftb3. Make sure you assemble the diff according to the book. It says to tighten bolt until spring is fully compressed and then back off 1/8 of a turn, no more, no less. If you do this you will have no problems. The shocks were not the easiest, but if you can try and get them all about the same in terms of shaft return distance you will be fine.
