Completely depends on how many racers show up to the Monster Bash. If we finish racing and it's too late, the drag racing and jumping contest will be canceled unfortunately. They are both great, fun events, so I hope we have time for them. We will call it quits at dusk if we are not finished before that.

We do not have a club racing series yet. This thread is primarily for our annual Monster Bash event that takes place on October 15th. We are not far from the PA border with Maryland on Interstate 83 (Interstate 83 basically goes from Baltimore to Harrisburg, PA and beyond)
The NRC club and facility is member's-only right now, but you can arrange a try-out day with one of the members if you'd like to come out and check it out and run for a day. We do this because we are not affiliated with any business. Membership, events, and various fund raisers are our only source of income for the track. We are completely non-profit (I say completely because a lot of the core members of NRC have spent a lot of their own money to get this track up and running. We are also affiliated with the Baltimore County Park & Rec and Seventh District Rec Council). So we are a membership-based track out of necessity, not out of trying to exclude people. Anyone can join NRC and we definitely try to keep the family aspect going. We have a lot of father-son(s), father daughter(s) racing and bashing at our facility. It is not electric friendly because the track is so huge. With 14 foot lanes and 17-20 foot width on the straight-aways, 1/10th tend to get lost. So we really just see nitro powered arena trucks, true monsters, 1/8th scale buggies and a smattering of 1/10th 2WD Stadiums.
In the spring we have an event called the Spring Meltdown and sometimes in August we have an event called the Summer Scorcher. (notice the Nuclear theme here? Our original track was in Hunt Valley, MD and was built on top of an old Nike Missile silo site, then we got booted by the neighbors and ended up in Parkton, MD.)
Obviously, the Monster Bash on October 15th is open to members and non-members. So come on out and try the track: It's cheap! Where else can you race for plaques for $10.00 members / $15.00 non-members and $5.00 each additional class??? No where.

We do not have electricity for racers, nor do we have pit tables. We recommend that you bring with you whatever you need. Most just use their car batteries to power their batt chargers. We will have a generator there, but this is primarly used for the lap counting computer and ancillary hardware to run the race.
The track facility opens at 8:00 AM and I believe practice starts at 9:00 or 9:30 AM. If you get there early enough you should be fine to get registered.
We should have signs made up to direct traffic to the track facilty. Just find Exit 33 (in MD) off of Interstate 83 and we should be able to get you there.

Ummmmm...no. Unfortunately there are no new pictures and my ex has my digital camera!!! It looks very similar to this still. The far left side hill has been removed due to massive erosion issues, the closer one remains:

There will be SIGNS to direct you to the track once you get off on Exit 33 on Interstate 83.
I'm going to be putting up signs in front of the stop signs for York Rd. off of Exit 33 (in MD). I'm also going to put one up at Stabler's Church Rd. so that you'll know where to turn. Then I'm going to put up another one at the entrance to the landfill. Then I'm going to put one up at the road that you turn left on to get to the track. It should be well marked.

Aside from the obvious computer issues we experience with the lap counting software:
1. What did you like about the race?
2. What could we have done better?
3. What other types of food would you have liked to have available from the concession area?
4. Any other comments, concerns, questions...
Thank you for the feedback, it will help to ensure that we continue to provide quality events for the future.
