I was looking on towerhobbies the other day, and saw that hpi made a 2 speed tranny for rc10 vehicles. Has anyone ever tried it? (I would put it on my B3) I think it would be neat to have 2 speeds like the nitro guys. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/wink.gif

I use 1 in my Losi for drag. The only problem is the pinon are for stock motor .If you have a mod motor you need to purchase other piņon.I think you no use reverse.

Another bad part about 2 speeds is they are not good for off-road use. So if you did put one in your B3 you could not use it off road with the 2 speed in place.

I don't see why you couldn't use a 2 speed tranny for off road use. The E-Maxx has a 2 speed doesn't it? I see no diff in useing one in a buggy. If HPI makes them then they make them for a reason right? Someone prove me wrong i don't wont to feel stupid for no reason! LOL http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

I have the RC10 two speed which I purchased about 5 years ago. The reason it will not work very well for off road is because the gear cover will no longer fit. The gears and shifting mechanism will be exposed to dirt, etc. I stopped using it since it had a severe wobbling problem and it seemed really cheap. It's really only good for on-road drag racing.
