Hello Painting Gurus.
I think I a didda boo boo on my body :( I scuffed the inside of my Lexan Body before I sprayed the paint. and shot the can on the body. I thought it would be like any pre-prep job for painting, What I did'nt realize was this was'nt any paint :( .So now that it has dried almost 24hours now, without the backer, Have I totaly Scr&*$ -up this body????

are you saying that you sprayed "Surface Pre-prep" first or "Clear Coat"? Which in either case, it's no problem at all.

Kuya,
No, I'am saying I sanded the inside of the body such as Ive done on all my other bodies. I went to the Spaz Stix web-site, and the site says do nothing with the body, just start spraying??????

unlikely that you did anything catastrophic. As long as you didnt scuff too hard, leaving deep scratches. Apply per directions, prepping the body as you did shouldnt hurt it, however, i have zero experience with their paint. I know in the past, i havent had ill effects from scuffing.

What color/kind of paint did you use, chrome, candy or color change? Anyway, scuffing for Spaz Stix is not needed. If you used chrome, candy or color change paint, the scuffing will show through. Had you not scuffed the body you can use the Pre-Prep to remove paint, but since its been scuffed it probably won't work.

In the "tips" section, following the directions for applying the color change paint, they recommend lightly scuffing the lexan with scotch-brite or fine sandpaper. Hopefullt it will work out.

I never saw this,'Tip sheet' and it does say to lightly scuff with a scotchbright pad, that is what I used just like every other body I've painted. And it did turn out allright.
The Chrome didnt work to well, Looks more like 'Silver' but live and learn :teacher:
