Matched packs are bundled according to their voltage and mAH capacity. That way, every battery in the pack will dump at the same time. They are a neccesity for World Class racing, but for having fun and racing at a local track, they're not worth the extra cash.

I bought a couple of 2000 mAH stick packs from Duratrax, but they are around $40 each. The Maxx Paxx would be great for you. $50 or so for two packs.

I have older 1500 mAH packs that can barely give me five minutes, but this is using a 15 turn motor. So for a stock motor, a 1900 mAH will be plenty.

I need a good battery for under $30 each. I'm not sure what the differance between matched and unmatched. How much mah do I need to run a P2K? Are Trinity batteries good or is it really their name? Any battery info would help. Thanks

The LHS has a stick pack of 2400's from somebody called HB. He has them priced at 25.00. Look around and maybe somebody in your area has them as well. The guys who have run them like them quite a bit.
